Arrived home on Sunday night the 11th August from a four day trip to Djuma lodge in the Sabi Sands. On return filled my November trip in a few days and am full for 8-11 November. This trip was fantastic in terms of sightings and the group that were with, among them being two doctors and there wives. We met on the 8th in Hoedspruit and all followed me through to the lodge. First game drive was out at 3.30 once everyone had unpacked, and the big 5 were seen in the first hour. Back to lodge for a braai and to bed. A full breakfast on each day followed the morning drive which left at 6am. Weather was overcast so not cold or hot. Sightings were the leopards, Hosanna, Thandi and Tingana, with the Nkhuma and Torchwood pride of lions with the Avoca males. We saw so many buffalos this trip with a great sighting of a herd of approx 150 zebras. Another strange sighting was a large bull hippo out of the water. Sunday morning all packed and hit the road for the return to home.
Have just returned from Djuma Lodge on Monday with a group on a 4 day and 3 night photographic safari. Saw 3 different leopard, the avoca male lions and 2 prides of lionesses, as well as elephant, rhino and wild dogs.
Off again to Djuma in February. Join us on this exciting trip to the Sabi Sands for an experience of a lifetime. Cost is 1400.00 for 4 days and 3 nights all inclusive.
On the 20th of December we set off for Djuma in the Sabi Sands on one of my photography courses in the Sabi Sands, There for 4 days and 3 nights, and so close to Christmas, we had a Christmas dinner on the 22nd as part of the Christmas spirit. Maranda prepared Christmas trees in all rooms, and all guests were presented with there gift pack and welcome letters, and settled in just before going out on our first drive. We did a secret Santa at our Christmas dinner which was roast leg of lamb, roast leg of pork, all the veggies etc, preceded by a prawn starter and trifle for dessert. The cats came out to play with lion and leopard sightings daily, lions mating and a leopard kill.Sadly the time went to quickly and on the 23rd, everyone bid farewell, new friends made. 3 of the guests were from Durban so had a bit more to travel
Just 2 weeks to our next trip to Djuma, Course full and looking forward to a great trip with a great bunch of people

On the 14th of October the group met at Millys for breakfast amid rain and cold. Following me the weather had cleared by the time we had reached White River.
We arrived at Gowrie gate at 2pm, and entered the Sabie Sands and booked in and unpacked at Djuma lodge, and shortly onto our first drive. 4 days of drives and we saw leopard every day, lots of Ellies, 4 differnet prides of lions, including mating lions, wild dog, a large buffalo herd and were charged by a large bull rhino.
4 days went to quickly and on the 17th we headed home after great sightings, good food and great photography.
